We bring together government officials, judges, leading lawyers who work IP sphere, as well as other industry representatives. The Forum is a professional platform for discussing industry problems and finding solutions.
On July 11, 2013 Seed Association of Ukraine took part in the Summer meeting of representatives of German and Ukrainian agriculture. Participants discussed the issue of effective use of modern agricultural machinery.
The meeting was held by the German Agricultural Society (DLG) in cooperation with the German Embassy in Kyiv, the German agricultural center in Ukraine - DAZ and IFWexpo Heidelberg GmbH.
On Saturday, June 15th, 2013 took place the working meeting of Chief executive of the Seed Association of Ukraine Valeriy Khadzhymatov, Technical director of European Seed Association Bert Scholte and Director of Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination Petro Vasyliuk. The purpose of the meeting all above was the discussion of a number of key issues, in particular:
- system of receiving seeds for testing;
- compliance with procedures for coding and privacy issues when dealing with seeds;
- need for improvement of IPR protection;
On the 28th May 2013 in Athens the Seed Association of Ukraine and French Seed Association signed the agreement on cooperation.
The purposes of the agreement signing above all are to promote joint efforts on improving the image of Ukraine in the international market as a reliable partner for investment and doing business in seed sector; to support the introduction of new technologies, the use of the best achievements of plant breeding - new varieties (hybrids) of crops; and to harmonize the national legislation in the seed industry to the international standards.
On November 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at 9/12, Bauman St. (2nd floor, room 209) was held a meeting of the Public Council under the State Inspection of Ukraine's agriculture with the participation of Seed Association’s representatives.
The following issues were discussed in the agenda:
- report on the work of State Agriculture Inspectorate of Ukraine for the last 9 months of the year 2012;
14-17 October in Brussels is the annual meeting of the General Assembly of the European Seed Association (ESA).
ESA promotes close cooperation between national and regional associations, and also represents the seed industry in intergovernmental organizations such as the OECD, UPOV, ISTA, WIPO and others.
Given that the Ukrainian foreign policy is aimed at a broad cooperation with various foreign partners, elaborating and building strategic partnerships between members of the ESA in the framework of organized, proactive cooperation is of current interest.
On 13th June, 2012 during the meeting of Committee on intellectual property of BASCAP ICC Ukraine Initiative Group (Business action to stop counterfeiting and piracy of Ukrainian National Committee (UNC) of International Chamber of Commerce), Chief Executive of Seed Association of Ukraine Valeriy Khadzhymatov was elected to be the speaker on plant variety rights protection of the Committee on intellectual property of UNC of ICC.
Within a framework of working visit , on 26 April 2012 Valeriy Khadzhymatov will go to Geneva to meet Secretary General of ISF Marcel Bruins.
Meeting of the Board of Seed Association of Ukraine took place on February 24, 2012 in the room of company “Pioneer Seeds Ukraine”.
